Shadow
Praise the Lord. Happy to see all your smiling faces again. Today let’s rewind time.
During my childhood days, there was a game. In the game, We simply used to sprint fast and we had to run fast enough to outrun our shadow. The shadow must be separate and so must we be. The shadow which follows us trying to stop and outrun it, was the aim for the sprint. Every time were we defeated in it. We could never outrun the shadow. It always runs beside you. As a child later did we understood that we cannot separate the shadow from us. It is something which is always with us. Once we realized our foolishness than we stopped playing the game.
From Bible we read a verse from the Book of Psalms
Psalms 121 : 5
“The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand.”
Nowadays many people say that “I will protect you like this…” or “I will protect you like that …”. Many type of medicines will protect us. We believe it. It does help sometimes but not all the time. Medicines does not heal us as we are living in such a phase of time.
But God provides a Miraculous Promise saying “To protect you I will always be with you as a shade”. Many say that “I will save you by giving my life”, “Will always be beside you”, “Will be on your side till the end”, “You are my everything” and make promises but none of them live up to it. If we see the promise made by our Lord, You and your shadow is inseparable. The place we are, will there be a shadow. The place where the shadow is where we would be. Likewise the promise of God given to the people who believe him is “Son / Daughter I will be with you, Nothing can separate You and Me, The places where you go will I be with you, The place where I am wilt thou there be, We both are one, I will never leave you” says the Lord. Such a beautiful promise does God make unto us.
On this Corona Pandemic phase, Many are dying around us due to the disease. People we know have also faced death. The Second wave has caused more damage than the prior wave. It has given fear and trembling unto many people. Thus on this phase of time when the fear is around us, A pleasant promise has God given us saying “He will be there as a shadow on our right side”. No matter wherever we go, he will come with us and will surely protect us. Not allowing any type of sickness or parasite to touch us, even if it touches us, Healing us from it and giving us a freedom, would he bless us. He will protect us.
